Digital Color & Black and White Copies

Sunraise recently purchased a new copier capable of producing high resolution black and white or color copies, from a paper original or direct from computer file. Whether you need just a few copies, or several hundred inexpensive booklets or brochures, we can make them for you.

Black and White Copies

Our new machine provides crisp, clear printing at 600 dpi. We carry a wide range of papers and colors for you to choose from.

Color Copies

We can copy from your paper original or direct from your computer file. We carry high quality paper specifically made for color copies and offer prices as low as 29¢ per copy. Note that we can not guarantee exact color matches on color copies.

Full bleeds (edged to edge color) are possible by printing on oversized paper and trimming the result, the same as when offset printing.

Binding and Finishing

We are also able to collate, staple, create full-color covers with black and white pages, etc. while we copy. If you need your copies on three-hole punch paper, we can drill the paper for you. We can also cut to custom sizes, laminate, or fold your copies.

Printing versus Copying

Offset printing is typically used for higher quantities (500+) of a single original, or where exact color matching is needed or a textured paper (such as a linen stock) is desired. Copies are usually less expensive for smaller quantities, or where several originals need to be collated and stapled, since most copy machines do that during the copying process, reducing labor costs.

Color Copies

Color copies do not produce exact colors, even when outputting direct from a computer file. Every machine has some color shifting, while toner may be different across brands or lots. If exact color matching is important, offset printing done specifying exact color matches (such as the Pantone system) may be necessary.

In General

For most purposes, high quality copies are an inexpensive alternative to printing. Whether black and white or color, the new machines produce good results.
